This replaced the first generation, which was destroyed by a fire.

This second generation was closed to business on 3 Mar 2020.

In June 2022 it was towed away from Hong Kong, but sank in the open sea on 19 June 2022.

Is it worth splitting this into two nodes, one for the original that was destroyed in 1971 and one for the second generation that commenced in 1976?

I believe since it's closure last year, the 2nd gen version has been bought by Ocean park and will be incorporated into its facilities in some way.

I believe it was given to Ocean Park originally (mid 2020), but has now reverted back to original owners. I believe that Ocean Park (under the control of government) believed it had enough of a job reviving their existing facilities without taking on another flagging project.
