The Ying King Restaurant located on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai (now the Tai Yau Plaza 大有廣場).
It opened in 1938, is a five-story building, and featured an elevator—a rarity at the time—and was the first in the post-war era to employ waitresses.
Its elegantly decorated top floor hosted Prince Philip of Great Britain in 1959.

Have not checked the accuracy of the year of the photograph or image from AI animation but the film being screened at the adjacent Oriental Theatre was "Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla". The film was released in 1952.
how i come up with 1956
Dear master Moddsey,
You are good ! please look at the great big vertical banner in Chinese in front of Ying King "中華人民共和國第七界國慶節“, my best guess is the banner said the People Republic of China 7th Anniversary, 1949+7=1956, please validate this with thanks!
Re: Photo Date
A quick search. The film "Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla" was screened at the Oriental between 1 and 2 October 1956.
