Gladys Frances White was born on 29 January 1908. She gave her rank/occupation as clerk on her POW card. She enlisted in the HKVDC, Nursing Detachment and later was interned at Stanley Camp.
Gladys Frances White was married to George White, Principal of the Government Trade School. At the outbreak of war, he had been seconded to the RASC and later interned at Argyle Street Camp and Sham Shui Po Camp.
Her name/signature appears as G. F. White under "VAD Nurses" on the "Day Joyce Sheet" held by the Imperial War Museum. See: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/30083388. An explanation of the "Day Joyce Sheet" is given at: https://gwulo.com/media/46458

Husband in HKVDC
The chinafamilies link has the note:
and Hong Kong War Diary has the note:
The list of HKVDC POWs has these men surnamed White:
Without a match on the initials it isn't yet clear which of them was her husband.
Re: Husband
It appears her husband was not in the HKVDC.
At the outbreak of war, George White, principal of the Government Trade School and later Controller of Land Transport had been seconded to the RASC and given the rank of Captain. He was later interned at Argyle Street Camp and Sham Shui Po Camp. I have updated their respective person pages.
