Hi there,

From the company logo of the bus this should be somewhere in Lantau Island.  I can't tell where was the photo taken, however.

Best Regards,

T

In the book - Tai O -Love Stories of the Fishing Village by Wong Wai King

This picture of the bus has the following caption

"In the 1960's the Tai O Road was not yet constructed - Tourists needed to leave vehicles at Keung Shan and hike to Tai O -This photo shows the car park at Keung Shan"

Behind the photo was Kwun Yum Temple which is still here nowadays.  The single storey house is still here near the roadside of Keung Shan Road, but it is already surrounded by trees can can hardly be seen from road.  The location of the photo should be the end of the Keung Shan Road (currently the junction with Tai O Road).

The photo also appeared in Hong Kong Buses - Volume 6 Lantau Island, authored by Mike Davis in 2008, with the credit marked as "Author's Collection".
