Here's the new picture of The Towers on Broadwood Road. Hope it helps in comparing with the other picture.

For the avoidance of confusion, The Towers, 20 Broadwood Road, pictured above, had no terraces, therefore all the terrace photos of the Olson family must have been taken elsewhere, contrary to early speculation that was published. Photos of members of the Warren family at The Towers were either taken on the steps or on the lawn. In addition, I note that the floor tiles on the terrace in the early Olson family photos appear to be different to the floor tiles in the post-1922 photo of Ethel on the terrace of 13 Broadwood Road. This may mean that my own assumption that the photo of the Olson brothers, John and Charles was taken on the terrace of 13 Broadwood Road, may be incorrect. It may have been taken at another Olson house, but not The Towers.

Good observation Jill, you're right, the Towers doesn't seem to have any terraces.  So the pictures were not taken at #13 or #20.

So are we thinking another Olson house?  The mast seems to be a big clue in the picture.  And I believe you've said somewhere 'John Olson (1) was nothing if not nautical.'

Could the pictures have been taken at John Olson(1) 's house?  And do we have an address for him?

Or Capt Harry Walker's at #15?
