Her maiden name was Oanes. She was born on 16 May 1911 in McKenzie, Burleigh County, North Dakota. In the 1940 U.S. Census, she gave her occupation as a nurse. Gladys Lynn also served as a missionary assistant to her husband.
She was present in Hong Kong after its surrender to the Japanese and was interned with her young daughter, Ann in Stanley Camp. They were repatriated to the United States in 1942.
Gladys Lynn died on 15 October 1991 in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky.
