I think that this was the original shoreline road that led around the Shaukiwan harbour and eventually passed the small temple. It is probably Wang Wa Street (Andrew S)

I think one is looking at Kam Wa Street. Wang Wa Street curves to the right. Probably taken from a tram at the Shau Kei Wan Tram Terminus.

Judging by the steep hillside in the background of both photographs and checking with two of the maps this street must be the Shau Kei Wan Main Street. I don't know whether it has a Chinese name. I remember walking down it to visit the temple.
