I think the G. Padgett listed may refer to George Thomas Padgett who worked as an electrical engineer at Hong Kong Electric. G. T. Padgett married Violet Winifred May on 12 November 1927 at St. John's Cathedral.
George Thomas Padgett was an electrical engineer with the Hong Kong Electric Co. He arrived in Hong Kong in 1921 and took a keen interest in the HKVDC and was responsible for the organization of their athletic and sporting activities. He was also in charge of Boats and House Committee of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
In 1934, he was Company Sergeant-Major of the HKVDC and made Member of the Order of the British Empire (Mil.) in the King's Birthday honours list.
As mentioned above, he married Violet Winifred May on 12 November 1927 at St. John's Cathedral. They had two children. His wife died on 21 August 1938 at the young age of 30. She is buried in the Hong Kong Cemetery.

Obituary of Violet Winifred Padgett: Hong Kong Telegraph 22 August 1938 and
After the Japanese surrender, George Thomas Padgett and Rose Hobbs (nursing sister in the Medical Department), both former internees at Stanley Camp announced their forthcoming marriage in local and Australian newspapers in September and October 1945 respectively. Plans were made to have their wedding at St. John's Cathedral in Hong Kong but it appears due to time constraints and issuances of repatriation notices, they elected to get married in Australia instead.
George and Rose Padgett returned and remained in Hong Kong until George retired from Hong Kong Electric in 1958 after 37 years of service. He died on 30 June 1969, in Bromley, London, England.
