Queensway

That’s a nice photo of a DODGE P6 lorry which was manufactured at Kew, England  for the British market following the 2^nd World War. First produced in 1949 , they were the “100 Series" trucks colloquially called the “Parrot Nose” because of the unique shape of its bonnet. Dodwell Motors was the Hong Kong distributor  for  these lorries.

In the distance to the left , behind the lorry , could that be a surviving corner of the East wing  of the 1st generation City Hall building ?

The east wing and a "temporary" Library block  survived for some time following the earlier demolition of the main block and west wing in about 1936. 

The East Wing of the old City Hall won't be visible in the photo above, as it was already all gone by the time the photo below was taken in 1946. In 1946 only the temporary building remained, and it was demolished to make way for the Bank of China. (More info at https://gwulo.com/node/7010)

Sorry, a typo , ..... I meant to type "in the distance to the  right behind the lorry "  The building doesn't appear like the corner of the Supreme Court building.
