The first Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter was filled in to provide the land for the new Victoria Park.

This Typoon Shelter was opened as the replacement.

News report says old shelter had been filled 60% in March and going to be completed in May 1953

Mention is made on Page 145 of the Hong Kong Annual Report 1953 that the typhoon shelter was completed by the end of the year.
