As you enter Stanley Military Cemetery you will find two information boards located on a grass slope, located near the top of the steps by the Cross of Remembrance.
One of the boards displays the photograph of Wendy which Moddsey has very kindly supplied. Unfortunately the caption on that board does not name Wendy; simply referring to her as “an internee” (or similar).
Neither does it tell us that the rations she is holding were for her room of 5 inmates, or for how long. A pity and an opportunity lost, in my humble opinion.
