In the early 1970s, the area in front of the pier in Sheung Wan was reclaimed. On aerial photographs from May and November 1973, the pier is still there, but is looks that only barges and not passenger ships are at the pier. Likely in 1974, the pier was finally demolished and vanished in the reclaimed area.

The 1945 map on Gwulo gives the name "Macao Wharf" for this pier.

I walked by this pier in the 1950s. Inside was one big open space making me to think it was a factory floor.
