Do you know where this building was located? Their current location is also on a triangular plot of land (https://goo.gl/maps/ZCMoHKDdtxGq2Dvp7), but I don't know if it is the same location.
At the intersection of Portland and Yu Chau St., right across the street from my uncles' firewood/charcoal shop at 17 Yu Chau St.
The street to the right is Portland, behind the HKSPC is the backside of the 4-story buildings on Boundary St. My dad's shop on 33 Boundary St. was just across the street and blocked from view by the one on the right.
The old building was located at the sharp corner of the triangular plot, where the big trees are in this Google view.
The intersection area at the far end of Portland St. is kind of interesting. From the north in a clockwise direction - Tai Po St., Boundary St., Nathan Rd., Portland St., Boundary St. & Cheung Sha Wan Rd. There was a brick water storage tank in the early 1950s where the high-rise building is, similar to the one outside the Prince Hotel. The Prince Hotel in turn looked similar in shape to the old HKSPC building. https://gwulo.com/atom/16180

Re: Hkspc
Hi David,
It should be the same lot as the old one.
