The hotel still existed till the 60s at the shoreline of Sheung Wan district at 144 Connaught Road Central after the Japanese occupation. However, the "size" of the hotel could have shrinked. The 1/F of the corner building in the photo showed the chinese character of the hotel. The trams those days were without any advertisements.

The other side of the block
A vertical signboard showing the Chinese characters "陸海通飯店" (Luk Hoi Tung Restaurant) in white with a background color in grey/navy blue can be seen on the left near the tram. This restaurant was an associated company of The Luk Hoi Tong Co. Ltd. - the operator of Luk Hoi Tung Hotel.
Please refer to the first photo above submitted by octa. I have also read a blog posted on 6th September 2016 (in Chinese) about the restaurant "中記海鮮酒家" (Chung Kei Seafood Restaurant) which was just opposite to Luk Hoi Tung Hotel. It stated that a restaurant of the same name was found in Vancouver. If it is true and the owner of the restaurant is the descendant of the original restaurant in Sheung Wan, then it may be possible to find out more information about Luk Hoi Tung Hotel from him/her.
This is a good find to see
This is a good find to see one of the hotel's locations.
They may have moved out from 144 before this photo was taken though. Usually the Chinese characters advertising an active business are painted clearly in red or black, but here they are just the same gray colour as the rest of the wall.
