I have just uploaded a photo from 1931 to "1930's Hong Kong" that is a front-on image of the building furthest to the right. It has "First Class" over one door: does that mean that everyone else had to use the nearer building as seen in this image in order to board?
As seen here , I think the nearer pier was used as a public pier at Kowloon Point. The Kowloon Star Ferry Pier would be the one further right. In the main building entrance, there would be a different aisle for fare paying passengers travelling on first class on the upper deck.
