Yes, it was obviously a very happy family and I see that the man in front of them is taking their photograph, so perhaps it was a scpecial time for the family. I hadn't previously noticed that the father is wearing traditional Chinese clothing. Regards Andrew
The pedestal of the statue of Sir Arthur Kennedy can be seen at the top of the flight of steps. The statue was removed during the Japanese occupation. In 1958, the statue of King George VI was erected in the same location.
