I found this photo amongst my Mum's collection. I believe it is of her boss, George Ernest Marden (1892-1966), former taipan of Wheelock Marden, though nothing is written on the back. My mother worked as a shorthand-typist for Wheelock Marden in the first half of the 1950's, before her marriage in September 1956. She loved working there. Not sure who the person in the framed photo on the right-hand side is, perhaps his son John Louis Marden (1919-1999) who took over when George retired. I wonder what building the company was in at this time?
