Sek Kong was basically a large army base with just one airstrip. The R.A.F. personnel who worked at the small R.A.F. outpost at Kong Wei were billeted at Sek Kong. Kong Wei was on the Ping Ha road immediately across the bridge on the west side of the river, roughly several miles to the West North West of Yuen Long. It was isolated amongst the paddy fields,
This made me think the old Ping Shan photo of a field with Tsui Sing Lau at the very back might be related to this location. I thought we have tagged the other one also related to RAF before? Some listening post?
That link should show it on the 1952 map, with the marker on an open, non-farmed area that is probably the RAF site.
T, you have a good memory! Andrew's email also mentioned that RAF Kong Wei was originally called RAF Ping Shan. I guess the name changed when its function changed from radar to listening post - can anyone confirm?

There is a Wiki entry saying it is in Shek Kong. But don't know if that's the lodging location, or something else.
