He's listed in the 1939 Blue Book as "Revenue Officer, 2nd Class", in the Imports and Exports office, William Henry Edgar Colledge, appointed 1st December, 1935.
My father was Chief Preventive Officer when he retired in 1959. He was allowed to retire early because he and my mother Phyllis Colledge were interned in Stanley Camp in world war 2.
