Thanks for posting this ad David. Do you know which paper it appeared in? Leslie Warren took over the company after his father, Charles Warren's death in 1923.
For those who can get to the British Library, many of the Hong Kong newspapers are now available in digital form at the brand new News Room, British Library, 2nd floor. I sampled it for the first time yesterday.
It's on page 2 of the Hongkong Telegraph, 7th April, 1926.
That's good news about the British Library. If you find any list of which Hongkong newspapers they have (titles and years), please could you let us know? I had a quick look at their website but didn't find anything.
David - if you go to the 'Explore the British Library' general site and type the title of the newspaper you want in the 'Search' box, it will tell you if they have it and which years. For example for The Hong Kong Telegraph they have 1881 to 1924. If you click on 'Details' it will tell you which dates are missing or imperfect. Let me know if this doesn't work for you.
Glad you had success with your search this time. Unfortunately the catalogue list of entries that you posted has become garbled in the transmission process and consists of a series of abbreviations and numbers that I can't interpret. Not sure if that's just my computer. Perhaps the list needs typing out separately for onward transmission.
As you know, the BL allowed me to have scans of their Ladies' Directories for 1904-1906, but they have the BL copyright mark across them and I have so far not got down to typing them out separately. That said, if anyone needs to know about a relative's address during those dates, I'd be happy to look them up.

Thanks Jill. From the page
Thanks Jill. From the page you recommended I played around a bit more and came up with this list:
http://explore.bl.uk/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?dscnt=1&vl(10130439UI0)=any&vl(drStartDay4)=00&vl(drEndMonth4)=00&scp.scps=scope%3A%28BLCONTENT%29&tab=local_tab&dstmp=1399273673423&srt=rank&mode=Advanced&vl(drEndDay4)=00&vl(1UIStartWith1)=contains&tb=t&indx=1&vl(41497491UI2)=any&vl(freeText0)=hong%20kong&fn=search&vid=BLVU1&vl(freeText2)=&vl(drEndYear4)=Year&pag=&frbg=&vl(drStartMonth4)=00&ct=&vl(10130438UI1)=any&vl(1UIStartWith2)=contains&dum=true&vl(1UIStartWith0)=contains&vl(46690061UI3)=newspapers&Submit=Search&vl(freeText1)=&vl(drStartYear4)=Year&fromLogin=true
It's a good selection, with good coverage of post-WW2.

re: British Library catalogue
Hi Jill,
Wherever you see blue, underlined text on Gwulo, it's a link you can click. Sorry that wasn't clear.
If you click the above link, hopefully you'll see a list of the Hong Kong newspapers available at the BL.
