Many thanks for this moddsey, as you say waterfall image shows in the papers after the rains rather than a typhoon. Looks like the images I'm sharing have "typhoon" on all of them, so I will have to go back and double check whether its the typhoon incident or the heavy rainfall incident. will change the image narrative accordingly too.
All the images I have appear to be by Ming Yuen.
Thanks also for pointing out the car race images in the papers, good to have the occasion confirmed.

The torrential rains that fell on Hong Kong on Hong Kong on 28 August 1923 were related to another typhoon that bypassed Hong Kong.
