Good to see a photo of this. Any ideas what it was used for?
The 1924 map shows it at the start of the road leading to the Military Sanitarium (http://www.gwulo.com/node/18740). Maybe it was a gatehouse, or quarters for the Sanitarium staff?
This photo was taken today from Peak Road opposite the petrol station just above the Peak /Baker/Guildford Road crossroads. I think it's a near match to the location from where the photo entitled "Military Bungalow, Magazine Gap" was taken, but the old photo was taken a few hundred meters further west along Peak Road. Can't be sure because the view from there is obstructed by trees today. If the photographers location is correct, the Military Bungalow would have been situated close to what is today the junction of Guildford and Mansfield Roads.
