Mabel Winifred Redwood (nee Wells), born 1895. Spent 1927-28 in Hong Kong, returned in 1938.

She finished her memoirs at the age of 80 and died a few months later, so c.1975.

She wrote the best account of the activity of Roman Catholics in Stanley (manuscript) and is probably the most important witness to the atrocities at the Happy Valley Jockey Club hospital at the end of of the hostilities.
