Re: Yau Ma Tei Police Station
1923 PWD Report
The 2nd Generation Yau Ma Tei (Yaumati) Police Station including main block and outbuildings were completed in November and December 1923 respectively.
The old Yau Ma Tei Police Station was probably located at the junction of Station Street (later renamed Shanghai Street) and Public Square Street. It was later converted into a temporary magistracy for Kowloon.
Re: Yau Ma Tei Police Station
Thanks Moddsey, I've corrected the date.
There's a Place for the older (first) Yau Ma Tei Police Station at:

Article in today's SCMP
The police station is mentioned here: http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/law-crime/article/2066478/era-reel-a…
Does anyone know if the 'accommodation block' to be demolished as referred to in the SCMP article is one of the old (1920s) buildings?
re: Article in today's SCMP
Hi Liz,
I read it as saying it's the newer part built in 1957 that's going to be demolished:
[...]
Built in 1922 in the Edwardian style, the white and blue main block (also called “the old block”) is a three-storey building with two elongated wings forming a V shape. A new accommodation block was built in 1957.
[...]
The old block will become the new office of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, but the accommodation block will be demolished.
[...]

Thank you David
Sorry, I had missed that bit. Cheers, Liz
