The photo doesn't look right. After flipping it 180 degrees horizontally I recognized where it is. It was the South China Sports Association Stadium. The Indian Club was (and still is) on the bigger lawn somewhere.
The island by the right should be the Stonecutters.
As T says, the photo needs to be horizontally flipped to show the South China Athletic Association Stadium at Caroline Hill on the left, India Recreation Club in the foreground and the Army Football Ground at Soo Kun Poo adjoining it.
