hi there,
i just saw the wonderful pictures of wellington barracks circa 1919, 1949 on your site and i was wondering whether anyone knew the name of the street/road where the main entrance (with the clock tower) is located? I think this photo depicts the military hospital of the barracks but I may be wrong.
I am researching a novel about HK during the Japanese occupation. And I am interested in where the Japanese troops were eating and living during this time period. I am especially interested in where they were located on Hong Kong island.
I have googled Wellington Barracks and it's confusing as to where exactly it was located during that time period (1940 - 45) and the streets bounded by it. None of my novels/memoirs/reference books have anything about Wellington Barracks. And there aren't a lot of material on this issue where I am in North America.
Thanks so much.

Wellington Barracks
Hi YF,
If you look at this Place, the marker on the map shows its location north of today's Queensway. There are also a few more photos shown there.
