this kind of fire hydrants used to be only appeared in Kolwoon in districts like Kln City, To Kwa Wan, Kln Tong. The hydrant has so many outlets are because it is designed for aircraft disasters - when Kai Tak was still an aipoart, these distrcits are just below the route of decsending aeroplanes and tehrefore prone for air-crash - lucklily we never have the chance to use this.

Hi, this isn't strictly true because there is a heavy draw-off hydrant at the corner of Hollywood Road and Lyndhurst Terrace. See here:

David, I hadn't read what you had written earlier (on the other thread). I guess it answers my query.
Heavy draw-off hydrants also located in the tragic accident prone locations and extremely heavy traffic areas (such as Mong Kok area).
So I assume that Hollywood Rd and Lyndhurst Terrace was/is a bit of an accident blackspot.
