When I looked at the Jardine House being 50 years old, I discovered a small lengthy building with a dark roof in front of it. It is the Hong Kong Jockey Club Betting Office. I initially thought this would have opened at the same time as the Jardine House - but it is older. First appearance is on a photo from 1963, an aerial photo from Feb 1963 (on HKMS2.0) shows some construction activities.

Amazing that a betting office was built on the reclaimed land while reclamation work still going on. The demand for betting on horses must have been tremendous.

I've created a place for it.
