Hi Andrew,

Even if it was not Lung Mun Restaurant, if you remember the photo was taken on a tram somewhere in Wanchai then to locations would be quite limited, streghting from Arsenal Street eastwards until reaching Canal Road.

I could only recall a bit over ten (10) bigger Chinese restaurants big enough to have newspaper stand at its door.

There is actually some clues:

  1. There appeared to be two big pots with plants behind the new paper stand.  Comparison could be made with other photos showing entrances of restanrants along the tram line;
  2. There are papers pasted onto the wall\ or glass with hand written words on them.  if only we could read the words;

Hello T

I might not be able to develop our interesting conversations for a while as my wife had a stroke the other day and life has suddenly become rather hectic.  However I shall continue reading your comments and those of others with great interest.  Best wishes, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

That was most unfortunate.  I had had my own experience on this as my mother in law was also a victim of a long serious of moderate stroke.

I guess what we can do here is tocontinue posting some distractions in case you needed it.

All the best.

T

Thanks David, Phil and T,

The medics found that the stroke was a bleed in Judy's cerebellum.  Amazingly, after only three days she has already regained most of her speech and her hand and arm movements are improving but the lack of balance is going to be a longer problem.  She has been transferred from the high dependency hospital North of Newcastle to one a bit nearer home where the medical people can get to work on her mobiltiy and balance.  It was a real scare as, in spite of knowing all the symptoms to look out for, it took a while for us and the medics to work out what had happened as it seems to have been not the most usual type of stroke.  Thanks for your concern and good wishes.  Yes I'll enjoy reading more posts and comments but might not be able to comment myself as rapidly as I have been able to do previously.  Meanwhile, I'm giving myself a crash  course on how to work the clothes washer.  Best wishes ande keep up the good work.  Andrew
