I thought of Ian all Sunday the 22nd and wished him all the best but I couldn't write - I was decidedly under the weather - [??] and other discomforts. But I'm all right again.
No news really but we hear things are going better outside - Rangoon retaken. We can only hope it is true. (which of course it wasn't!)

Got weighed. I'm 101 and half lbs (from 112). Olive has gained 2 lbs. ((rice fat)). She is to work at hospital office too.
Today George Wright-Nooth finds that 'a great feeling of lassitude' has come over him, and he's generally weak. He's heard from others they have the same 'spells'. He weighs himself and discovers he's lost 10 pounds - others have lost up to 60.
One tin corned beef for 4 persons for two meals
Rye bread. Tinned rations in lieu of meat & fish. Very good they were too. Corned mutton, sardines & D.M.P.sausage. 2 ½ oz.
