I've been asked recently about May Road. I'd assumed that it was named after FH May, Governor 1912-19 ... and at https://gwulo.com/atom/23602 Gen Suzuki gives us the Wikipedia entry for it which say so.

My mother Johanna Elisabeth (Ankie or Annie) Marks who was born on August 12th 1926 in Hing Kong. The photo was taken January 23rd 1928 somewhere near where they lived which was 2 Tregunter Mansions. House on May Road (seems to be the house on the photo titled "Old Peak Road 1919 - from Branksome Towers"). My grandparents P. Marks and M.G. Marks-Groot (from the Netherlands; my grandfather worked for the Dutch Indoes Trade Bank in Hong Kong, the Nederlandsch Indische Handelsbank) at that time (autumn of 1925) lived nearby in Tregunter Mansions on 2, May Road. They has been swiming in the pool which was at the left of that house and they wrote that the tennis court on the right was owned by the flats owner.
