A Japanese Gunner's Journey, 1940-1943: Artillery Actions during the Pacific War, Dr. Kwong Chi Man and his team, History Department, HKBU, June 2, 2022

The photographs are from Shiro Ishitake, a Sergeant Major of the Imperial Japanese Army who participated in the Battle of Hong Kong and in other war theatres.

Two schools started on School Road locale c.1920s ? And years later ...

There is a school site I want to investigate regarding its origin. If someone could check on the first educator who operated this address: 12-C School Road 
(area : 8000 sq ft) in the 1920s, 30s, up to the 40s.

Before the early 50s, it was named Sum-Sum Kindergarten. In 1958, my dad rented this site to operate the Ching Tak Kindergarten..

Summer is here and the perennial favourite ice cream is on all minds, young and old. But when was ice cream first sold in Hong Kong? 

I tried Google AI and got this answer:

Ice cream was first sold in Hong Kong in 1921 by On Lok Yuen, a Western-style cafe chain that established the city's first ice cream factory, according to the South China Morning Post. They imported ingredients like skimmed milk powder and canned butter from Australia to make their ice cream.
