Hok Tsui Watchtower [????- ]

1E Cape D'Aguilar Road

While hiking with some friends recently on Cape d'Aguilar, we came across the building below.  We were intrigued to know when it had been built and for what purpose.  It had and entrance door on one side and a high window with slits either side on all four wall,  There was some Chinese script on one wall which translated to what we assume is the address.

Would be most grateful for any information or insight anyone might be able to provide.

Tin Hau Temple, Nga Yiu Tau, Shap Pat Heung, Yuen Long (Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple 大 樹下天后廟) [c.1786- ]

Declared Grade II historic building in 2010.

"Probably built in 1786... administrative center of Shap Pat Heung [before] the 20th century. ..Ying Yung Tsz(英勇祠) is at the left side of the Temple...The adjacent Wing On She (永安社) was a memorial hall and served as a study hall since 1884 [until] 1962...."

The above map for this place isn't accurate, as I'm not sure exactly where it is. [Update Jun 2008: The location is accurate now, confirmed by this map from the HKHAA.] This week's HK magazine has an article 'Tearing up the town' about historical areas that may be redeveloped and disappear.
