ARP Tunnels Still Accessible?

Submitted by Iloveoldhk on Mon, 11/07/2016 - 19:13

From what has been talked about on this site, It seems that all of the ARP tunnels are no longer accessible right?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xKaXPrfAMs

The only hint they gave is that it is 'near a large urban populous', so I assume it is either near leighton road/star street ARP tunnels, or in Kowloon.

Any ideas?

Eligibility for UK Awards, Decorations and Honours including medals for WW2 Veterans and ARP

Good afternoon (Canberra time) David,

In researching material for a publication on Australian citizens that fought on behalf of the Allies against the Japanese in WW2 in mainland China and SE Asia including HK, I had difficulty finding any reference to the eligibility criteria for awards, decorations, honours and medals particularly relating to the gallant men and women in their role as defenders in the defence HK during WW2.

Life in Hong Kong's ARP tunnels

The government reports tell us the location, size, geology, etc, but there is very little written about what conditions were like for the people that had to use the tunnels in wartime.

Here are the few references to the tunnels that I’ve found:
