This is one of the octagonal cast iron water tanks that were used around Hong Kong. There is more information about the tanks on the Peak in this thread: https://gwulo.com/media/28780

Marker position is very approximate.

GW noticed it on the left of this photo, just above the 'G' of the watermark:

Klaus found this tank is located a short distance noth-east of number the house "Trollstua" at 8, Barker Road.

It is marked on government maps as a Fresh Water Service Reservoir.
