Years ago, I came across this structure at the tip of Cape D'Aguilar. If it's a pillbox, it's making no effort to hide itself as it's sticking out like a sore thumb on top of a rocky outcrop. (There's a Panoramio picture of the structure on Google Earth.) Can anyone throw some light on this? Cheers.

Tony Banham's "Not the slightest chance" shows this as PB 33a (see map on page 96).

visited this the other weekend - as noted elsewhere by Rob there's a lyon light emplacement directly above the pillbox, which has three gun openings.  The staircase to the top floor has collapsed.

There's a path down from the freaky village above and takes you through an abandoned village at the bottom - suggest not visiting in summer as I had to clear dozens of woodland spider webs on the path...

I went there July 23 2018. I was surprised it has been restored as there are more recent concrete repairs to the pillbox.

Anyone wanting to come here be aware it is a difficult path down from D'Aguilar Road that involves cutting through several Orby Spider Webs! Better not to do this alone as I did.I was surprised it has been restored as there are more recent concrete repairs to the pillbox.
