Most Spam is just irritating. But sometimes I get stuff that is truly mind-boggling. Not for the outrageous claims, but for the fact that the sender seriously thinks they'll get some business out of it.

We've written about several old cable-car systems in Hong Kong. Which got this gentleman so excited he sensed a business opportunity:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Since 1995, Elba Engineering Services has emerged as a prestigious engineering, civil construction and project development company working in government and private sectors in Pakistan.

We have vast experience to handle the projects on turnkey basis related to civil, power sector and process industry etc from designing to the final handing over the project in collaboration with our foreign principals/partners.

We are very much interested to work with your company on exclusive basis to introduce your products and technology in Pakistan.

One of our client intends to install cable car system through International Tender. The scope of work includes supply, installation of cable car alongwith design of civil works. Estimate cost of the project is around 10.5 million Euros. On you confirmation, we will send you more details regarding this project. Last date of submission of proposal is 15 August 2010.

Thanking you and looking forward to hear from you, we remain.
