7 Oct 1944, Leo Landau's wartime diary

Submitted by Brian McDouall on

I did not receive a parcel though Walker received one.

I tried in August to send watch to Dad but were refused. Today I have tried again but to Rosie instead.

Walker sends to Eddie ¥70 per month, and receives a parcel twice a month, of 8 items. One item alone 7 eggs (Leghorns) at current prices would exceed the remittance sum!

Why in God is a stranger looked after so well, while I am only good for a post card:- "Hope I keep well & fit." I must not be hasty, and arrive at any conclusions: but wait until I am free again, and get the real facts.
