Yesterday's paper had part of Churchill's speech. A great morale booster. Reading it I feel that we shall see freedom this year.
Our first heavy rain fell. Bowen Rd draft came in. Our monthly sick draft for Bowen Rd is expected to leave Sunday. Blankets are going for Y30, probably getting Y60 outside.
Bevan received unpleasant surprise on working party today. Someone deposited his shit in Bevan's overcoat in the sleeve.
The C.C. is showing great interest in the welfare of the camp, sent in some poultry, I understand, enquired if our medical supply are adequate.
