Rumours of a remittance Y50. The Burma campaign has begun. The news on a whole looks good - hope this is our last year in camp.
Outside of the oil tank being bomed on Sept 2nd today was the most thrilling as yet in camp. I saw my first dog fight and a plane comming down smack into the sea and a pilot bailing out at a high altitude. Though most of us could not see the marking of the unfortunate plan - it seems a Japan plan by the general lines. We will know by today's paper what’s what - eh? We have not received a paper for two days.
