### KING'S COLLEGE WIN INTER-SCHOOL SWIMMING SPORTS
The Inter-School Swimming Sports Championship at the Victoria Recreation Club yesterday was won by King's College with a total of 25 points, as against 20 points by Wah Yan College and 17 scored by St. Joseph's College. Every event, with the single exception of the 50 Yards Free Style, saw a very close win.
**Tam Tjong-thian Most Promising Swimmer**
Tam Tjong-thian, of St. Stephen's College, returning times of 28 seconds flat and 65-1/5 seconds for the 50 and 100 Yards Free Style, was perhaps the outstanding swimmer on view. The times returned in the other events cannot be considered as promising of a wealth of swimming talent for the Colony Championships of the future.
The divers performed reasonably well, but seemed to have some difficulty with the board. Donald Young, who did not excel but managed to cut the water smoothly with every dive, was named winner with 116 points.
**RELAY THRILLS**
Both the relay races saw close finishes, the medley relay being a near dead heat as E. Roberts, of King's College, just managed to touch ahead of Fong Wah, of St. Joseph's. The 200 Yards Free Style Relay proved the most interesting race of the day, and the success of Central British School came as somewhat of a surprise, but King's and St. Joseph's Colleges were swimming boys who had been over-taxed in close finishes in other races earlier in the afternoon.
The principal point-scorer of the afternoon was Donald Young, of St. Joseph's, who won the Diving, and was second in the 100 Yards Breast Stroke and the 200 Yards Free Style.
Mrs. Handyside, wife of Mr. W. L. Handyside, M.A., B.Sc., Senior Inspector of Schools, gave away the prizes.
