Long two-storey building on M.L. 57 between docks 2 and 3. At the waterfront are two small side towers and a higher central clock tower. The building is labeled "Offices & Stores" in the 1903 map on hkmaps.hk.
It was likely an office building for daily (construction) services. The Hung Hom Dockyard Headquarters [c.1888-c.1945] is probably more a building for directors rather than construction works.
The construction date is unknown to me, possibly already built in the 1870s or early 1880s. The construction date was estimated to be c.1880.
In the 1950s, a five-storey tower was added to the building (see 1962 photo), either built in front of it or the front part was extended.
The building survived WW 2 and was still visible in an aerial photograph from 1980. The whole surrounding area (docks and building) was cleared in 1982. The demolition date was estimated to be 1981.
