There is no entry for Jose Antonio Pereira in the 1941 Jurors List, but this may be his entry, using an anglicised version of his name:
| c | Pereira, Joseph Anthony | Clerk, Mercantile Bank of India, Ld. | 3 Carnarvon Road, Kowloon. |
He fought with the HKVDC, and is mentioned in the 1942 list of POWs:
| Pereira J A | HKVDC | Private | 3602 |
He was one of the POWs shipped to Japan, and is listed in Sendai #2 Camp at mansell.com:
| Pereira, Jose Antonio,Pvt,3502,HKVDC,167 |
He survived the war, and the FEPOW website shows he was transported back to Hong Kong. The last part of his journey home was on HMS Colossus, leaving Manila on 5 Oct 1945. (The FEPOW site gives his POW number as 'V3602'. It also shows he was born in Victoria, Hong Kong, on 1 Mar 1915.)
