There is no entry for Jose Antonio Pereira in the 1941 Jurors List, but this may be his entry, using an anglicised version of his name:

c   Pereira, Joseph Anthony Clerk, Mercantile Bank of India, Ld. 3 Carnarvon Road, Kowloon.

He fought with the HKVDC, and is mentioned in the 1942 list of POWs:

Pereira J A HKVDC Private 3602

He was one of the POWs shipped to Japan, and is listed in Sendai #2 Camp at mansell.com:

Pereira, Jose Antonio,Pvt,3502,HKVDC,167

He survived the war, and the FEPOW website shows he was transported back to Hong Kong. The last part of his journey home was on HMS Colossus, leaving Manila on 5 Oct 1945. (The FEPOW site gives his POW number as 'V3602'. It also shows he was born in Victoria, Hong Kong, on 1 Mar 1915.)
