Marjorie Dobson was a nursing sister at the War Memorial Nursing Home and in the HKVDC, Nursing Detachment.

She married Frank Buckle, chief instructor in engineering of the Government Trade School and Engineer/Lieutenant in the HKRNVR at the Peak Church on 18 April 1941.

After the fall of Hong Kong, her husband was interned as a Prisoner-of-War while she was sent to Stanley Camp.
