The completion date of 1865 is a guess. The Mint was built on this reclaimed land and opened in 1866, so the reclamation would have finished some time before then.

The outline is based on two maps:

  • The 1845 map shows the original East Point.
  • The 1905 Map shows the reclaimed land, but with the lot boundaries in 1905 still showing the outline of the original East Point.
