Ernie Fincher
This entry is for Ernie Fincher, the husband of my aunt "Rene" Gittins who died in 1980 in Sydney, Australia. Their daughter Frances (Zainoeddin, nee Fincher, born in 1941) lives now in New York City - she has two children.
Ernie Fincher was a member of the Fifth AA Battery of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corp and his name is on the "Roll of Honour" of the HKVDC which is kept in the HKVDC room at the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence at Lei Yue Mun (I saw it there in 2018) - a few metres from where he died, on the 18 December 1941.
I can provide some extra photos, if desired.
