Claude Earnshaw appears to have arrived in Hong Kong in 1920 with his brother Reginald. Both brothers joined the Hong Kong Police and later were involved with Harry Abbott in the "Abbott School of Aviation" at Kai Tak.
After Reginald's death in 1925, Claude Earnshaw later became manager of the Palace Hotel. He was a keen, sportsman, cyclist and billiards player. He met with a sudden death in 1930.
