The Eyre Diocesan Refuge was founded by Miss Lucy Eyre, a British Missionary, in 1898. The mission of the Refuge was to rescue the destitute and “fallen” women in the local society.  The refuge was situated next* to St Mary's Church, Causeway Bay, until it was moved to Kowloon in 1914.

* I think this was in the Reformatory.
