His son Lieutenant Henty Creer of Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve born 1920 in Australia died 22 September 1943 in Norway and is remembered on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial. He was  Commander of one of the midget submarines which attacked the Tirpitz.
