OBITUARY.

MISS WINIFRED BARKER PASSES AWAY.

We record, with regret, the death of Miss Winifred Barker at the age of 54 years, the deceased lady passing away early yesterday morning.

The late Miss Barker was the daughter of the late Mr. William Barker and Mrs. Barker and had been a resident of Hongkong for the past 25 years. The family was well-known locally and resided for many years on the picturesque little island in Saiwan Bay, known as Barker Island.

The funeral took place at the Protestant Cemetery yesterday afternoon, the Very Rev. A. Swann, officiating. There were present Mrs. Barker, Mr. A. Lane, Mr. G. W. C. Burnett and Mr. A. el Arculli.

Wreaths were sent by Mr. A. el Arculli, Mr. G. W. C. Burnett, Mrs. Burnett, Mr. A. Lane, Mrs. Lane and Miss M. Lane.
